The porcelain figurines from the Lladró factory are world famous. The two Lladró brothers started making the figurines in 1953 and have built up a great reputation in a short period of time. In the museum you can see the most extraordinary works that are arranged in chronological order. So you see how the first designs of the later figurines. It was not only the Lladro's who made these statues. One of the most valuable statues is "Owl", made in 1986 by the avant-garde artist Pablo Serrano.

In the museum you first get an audiovisual presentation about porcelain in general and the history of Lladró porcelain in particular. Then you can see how the production process works in the studios and workshops. From the first design to baking in the oven.

You can also visit the beautifully restored birthplace of the Lladró brothers. There will be workshops where you will learn how to make a porcelain figurine.

Of course there is a shop at this museum, where you can buy the Lladró porcelain. The tour of the museum is free of charge, as most visitors buy something in the shop. But you don't have to do anything! The museum is not close to the other popular sights in Valencia, but you can easily get there by metro (get off at the Alboraya-Peris Aragó stop, then walk another 1 km).
